We are sad to hear about the passing of one of our friends, Diego “Chico” Corrales. Chico was from Sacramento and had risen from a rough childhood to become one of boxings all time greatest warriors. Chico used to be a frequent customer of ours and was always hanging around the store telling us his boxing stories. Back in 2001, a week before he was scheduled to fight Floyd Mayweather at the MGM in Vegas he stopped by the store and gave me 2 tickets to the fight. I didn’t even ask, thats just the kind of guy he was. Watch the video below and see the end of what many call one of the greatest fights of all time. RIP Chico. – Matt
